Lamp posts are targetted

LAMP posts in Bakewell are once more to be adorned with the work of Peak District writers when a Lamp Post Literature event is held again. Following the success of last year’s event, local writers will seek to inform, entertain and inspire passers-by.

Writers in the Peak will provide an eclectic mix of work which will be displayed on a lamp post near you throughout Bakewell Carnival Week, which this year starts on June 25.

Writers In The Peak meet every Tuesday evening (7pm) at the Rutland Hotel. Anyone interested in creative writing is more than welcome to come along. There is a £2 charge, but first timers can come for free.

Do you need planning permission to deface lamp posts?
