New network of Peak District routes

A new network of Peak District routes based on the roads and tracks used by a notorious 18th century highwayman has been established with those wearing riding hats and cycling gear in mind.

Riders of horses and mountain bikes can enjoy the Black Harry Trails, which criss-cross the moors between Great Longstone and Stoney Middleton in Derbyshire and include areas around Longside Edge.

A map produced by the national park authority of the area and its new trails also reveals where the Monsal Trail passes just to the south, which may prompt some to try to enjoy rides combining the rail and crime histories of the area.
