Derby Walking Festival coming up

With autumn – a popular season among British hikers – fast approaching, it may be time to invest in a new pair of walking boots.

And what better opportunity to try them out than at next month’s Derby Walking Festival, which is part of the overall Peak District Walking Festival?

Due to kick off on September 17th, it will feature 14 brand new routes that have been specially created to take in some of the city’s highlights.

Organisers are hoping to attract people of all ages and abilities who would like to explore a city on foot rather than by public transport or in the car.
