Wild and Wonderful Art Exhibition

Wild & Wonderful is the title of a new exhibition by three local artists – Pauline Townsend, Jill Kerr and Paul Tavernor in the Art Café above the Pavillion Gardens Café, from August 22 until October 31.

The members of the High Peak Artists group have joined forces to mount a special exhibition allowing them to show more of their work, explain what inspires them and show visitors how the work is produced.

Pauline Townsend’s silk paintings of flowers, landscapes and quirky seaside images are distinctive and colourful. This exhibition includes new silk paintings of flowers and several studies inspired by images from India.

Jill Kerr produces meticulously crafted linocuts of rural studies & nature. Her tractor prints are highly collectable and recently she has produced a series of images inspired by the Peak District woodland.

Wildlife artist Paul Tavernor from High Lane is a top-selling published artist and frequent exhibitor at prestigious wildlife painting exhibitions, such as the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art.

Members of the public are invited to come along and meet the artists in the Art Cafe during the Great Peak District Fair on Sunday, October 16 between 10.30am – 3.30pm.
