For once I agree with Natascha

This week Parliament rejected a motion to hold a referendum on our continued membership of the EU.

It is 36 years since the view of the British people was last heard and Natascha Engel, Labour MP for North East Derbyshire believed that the time has now come for the people to be heard once more.

Her arguments are clear and right “The difference between the EEC in 1975 and the EU of today is beyond recognition. Whatever the arguments about why it is not the right time for a referendum, the fact is that the issue of Europe has become too important for politicians alone to decide and it is only right therefore that the people should have their say.”
