MEP welcomes Olympic torch to Derbyshire

Emma McClarkin, Conservative MEP for the East Midlands, has welcomed the confirmation of which Derbyshire communities the Olympic Torch will pass through next year, as “really exciting news for local residents”.

Is it me that is sad for not getting excited about a torch that will pass within 10 miles of 95% of the population of Britain or is the “haves” that are trying to bring some so called cheer to the lives of the “have nots”.

According to Ms McClarkin the only thing we can look forward to from the Olympics is to be insired to take part in our favourite sport. Whoopy doo!
