Plans for former Hartington creamery site blasted

A NATIONAL Park lobby group says plans to develop a former village creamery into 42 new homes is “over the top”.

Friends of the Peak District has begun campaigning against the plans, which are currently being considered by the Peak District National Park Authority, to transform the former Hartington Creamery site into homes.

The campaign group has written to the authority and is urging families living nearby to call for the development, in Stonewell Lane, to be turned down.

* This will significantly affect services in the community

* Only six affordable houses included in the scheme – tut tut!
