Derbyshire “Question Time”

POLITICS, law and order, the economy and the media will all be up for discussion as Derbyshire stages its very own Question Time-style debate.

‘The Derbyshire Debate’ will borrow from the format of the long running BBC TV series but add its own county flavour; providing a panel of experts with significant local influence in the areas of education, law, politics, religion, business and the media.

Audience questions will be put to them during The Derbyshire Debate event in The Courtroom, at the University of Derby’s Kedleston Road site in Derby, from 7pm to 9pm on Wednesday, November 30.

The panel on the night will consist of: Professor John Coyne, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Derby, Mick Creedon, Chief Constable of Derbyshire Constabulary, Steve Hall, Editor of the Derby Telegraph, Councillor Philip Hickson, Justice of the Peace, Chairman of Derbyshire Police Authority and Leader of Derby City Council and The Rt Rev Dr Alastair Redfern, the Bishop of Derby.

With this panel “Get me out of here” seems a better choice on the night. Yawn!
