Art Gallery Prize for Chatsworth

Chatsworth has scooped a top award for its art collection and gallery.

The Peak District stately home was awarded a highly commended prize at the Hudson’s Heritage Industry Awards, which recognise achievement and success at tourist attractions such as stately homes and castles.

The award was presented during a celebration lunch in London by broadcasters Loyd Grossman and Lucinda Lambton, while other trophies were given to venues across 13 categories, from wedding venues to gardens.

Highly commended awards were handed to 12 venues, and the judging panel was made up of four experts from the worlds of heritage, tourism and architecture.

Hudson’s Heritage has been publishing literature about the country’s oldest tourist attractions for 50 years.
