More Olyimpic Torch Tosh

Businesses across Derbyshire are being invited to come along to a series of free briefings to help them capitalise on the once-in-a-lifetime opportunities that next year’s London 2012 Olympic Torch Relay route is poised to bring.

Visit Peak District & Derbyshire, the area’s official tourist board, has organised sessions to encourage all businesses to profit from the route’s full potential to attract extra visitors.

The Torch Relay will arrive in Derbyshire on Friday June 29 and will pass through Buxton. All business people who attend the briefings will receive an Olympic update and news about events linked with the Torch Relay from Derbyshire’s 2012 Legacy Co-ordinator Rory Slater.

The Buxton briefing will be in early 2012, date and venue to be confirmed.

Best cancel my holiday then. wouldn’t want to miss a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Bahhhh!
