PLANS to revamp a former station on an old Peak District rail line which is now a popular trail for walkers, horse riders and cyclists have gone back to the drawing board.
The national park authority had agreed to lease Millers Dale Station, on the Monsal Trail, to the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust on condition a bid for up to £3 million of Lottery funding to revamp the site was successful.
But the trust was told by Lottery chiefs its bid was unlikely to succeed and no agreement could be reached between the trust and national park on a cheaper proposal.Follow @csabian
