Climate week – what to do?

RESIDENTS across Derbyshire are being urged to think about what they can do to help the environment as part of Climate Week.

Derbyshire County Council is backing the national campaign, running from March 12 to March 18, to inspire a new wave of action on climate change.

And the authority is kicking off the action with a series of Love Food Hate Waste cookery demonstrations at Sainsbury’s stores at Dronfield on Saturday March 10, Ashbourne on Sunday March 11 and Matlock on Friday March 16.

The roadshows will run from 10am to 3pm and there will be plenty on offer from top culinary tips and ideas, to advice on how to save on your shopping bill, cut down on your waste and reduce your carbon footprint − as well as plenty of tasty treats to try.

My top tip is to stop eating meat, since cows are a huge influence on climate change.
